Chemistry is the study of matter, which is pretty much everything that you can hold! In this class you will study the structure of the atom, and how atoms bond together to make larger compounds. You will investigate the particular importance of organic compounds to life and our society, and how to identify and name these compounds. Emphasis will also be placed on how the underlying chemistry relates to the physical properties of all matter.
Lastly, a large portion will be devoted to how chemical reactions happen, particularly concerning chemical equilibrium and electrochemistry.
